Spring Break 2011

For our spring break, we headed south to Las Vegas for some sunshine. The weather was so nice we tried to be outside as much as possible. We tried out several parks just having fun!

One of the nerdy things our family did was to go see the new bridge that bypasses the Hoover Dam. I have memories of waiting hours in traffic trying to cross the dam to get to Arizona. That is no more with this beautiful engineering wonder!
They have a walking path on the bridge and this is the view of the Dam from it. It is VERY high and kinda scary too but the view is priceless!

We visited my parents a few days and we went up box wash on a little hike to see what my Dad calls Dragon Head.

We went out to check out the low water levels of Lake Mead and Craig found this old boat buried in the sand. Not the wallet filled with hundred dollar bills that we were hoping for!

All this should be under water. Hopefully it will fill up a bit soon!

When we got home we hung out with some friends and took our first visit to the Training Table. It was yummy! Afterwards, the Willie family strapped on some roller skates and had some fun! Sadly, there are no pictures of that!!
